FARM MACHINERY OPERATOR OPPORTUNITY, PARENGARENGA INC.

Parengarenga Incorporation is a Māori entity that owns and manages a large-scale farm and forestry operation. Parengarenga Farm Station covers 6400ha of land situated around the Parengarenga harbour with a focus on sustainable, environmentally responsible sheep and beef farming. Due to the retirement of one of our valued machine operators, a new opportunity has arisen in our farm machinery and water management team.

The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge of machine operation, and ideally the ability to maintain farm machinery such as diggers, dump trucks, water pumps and tractors. We’re looking for a responsible and self-motivated team player who can work unsupervised, while maintaining a high level of accountability. 
 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining farm machines with the ability to monitor, manage and service diesel water pumps. Knowledge and experience working with large-scale water systems will be highly regarded. 
 
Qualifications needed for this role include HT Certification and Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsement. Our ideal person will have an appreciation of tikanga Māori and be a self-starter and team player. 
 
The role is based in Te Kao in the picturesque Far North. The area boasts a stunning environment and amazing coastal lifestyle opportunities.
